2015 Year End Review

Oslo, Norway Opera House rooftop

If you’re reading my travel blog, chances are you read other travel blogs (or maybe just mine, and if so, you’re my favorite reader!). And if you read other travel blogs chances are you’ve seen your fair share of year-end reviews already. Well, guess what? HERE’S ANOTHER ONE! 2015 introduced me to travel on a bigger scale than I had ever experienced and I would remiss to not take a moment and look back on just how exciting this year was. I planted my feet on two new continents, in six new countries and re-visited four American cities I hold dear to my heart me while adding two new ones to the list. I’m excited for all that 2016 hopefully has in store but before I jump head first into new adventures, I want to take a look back at the experiences this year that brought me here today!

I started this blog with one set of goals in mind that have changed time and time again. But the one thing that has been consistent is that I want to continue creating good content for your enjoyment and inspiration. I want to become a better storyteller, a stronger writer and a better photographer. I want to carve out a space of my own in the blogosphere and be known as a resource to help you create work-life balance. I want to show that you don’t have to abandon your career to travel the world. You don’t have to trade your passion for paychecks. You can have them both. I work Monday through Friday, 9-5. I have ten days of paid vacation and eight paid holidays a year. This may present an obstacle for some, but I welcome it as a challenge I’m up for. Next year I already have my sights set on Berlin and Switzerland, staying in the Best Geneva Hotels, Metropole. Give me a calendar and watch me make it work. Let us check in on December 31, 2016, and well see how I did.
