I took a trip to Europe earlier this year, and my biggest fear was that I would come home and feel as if the life I was living wasn’t enough. Guess what happened? JUST THAT! Once I returned home and got back to work, I came to the conclusion that this cannot be all there is to life, and this anxiousness came over me. So I harnessed that energy and created I’m Taking Off! I realized I wasn’t the only one with this insatiable wanderlust who also had a full-time job. I knew there were plenty of other people out here trying to find the balance between what they HAVE to do and what they WANT to do.
I’m Taking Off is here to encourage your wanderlust and make travel a priority because it is possible, affordable, and I want to show how. I hope to be an open book as I share my travels, experiences, new foods I try, people I encounter, EVERYTHING! I also want to share advice on travel planning without breaking the bank and tips to make your travel as stress-free as possible. Most of all I want to help you take travel off the back burner and not to let your wanderlust take a back seat to your career!
If the opportunity presents itself to walk away from the 9 to 5 life, pack a bag and travel the world, maybe I’ll consider it. But that day is not today. I am not yet in the position to trade one life for the other, butI am on a mission to prove that I can have my career, see the world, and balance it all. Let me share my journey in finding this balance with you. So I welcome you to I’m Taking Off. You see those links at the top of the page and over to your right? Go ahead and follow me and keep up with where I’ve been & where I’m going! Please like, share, comment & let me know what you think!

August 17, 2015 at 6:56 AMCongratulations on your website 🙂 I look forward to reading more of your adventures 🙂 Life is too short to be holding back. I’ve also been traveling on and off since 2004 and I still can’t get enough of seeing the rest of the world. It is really hard to balance work and travel but somehow it’s definitely doable. It’s just a matter of finding what works for you best. 🙂 Happy travels!
